Craniosacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on, whole-body method of releasing restrictions around the brain and spinal cord to enhance central nervous system performance and allow the body to selfcorrect. As the name implies, it involves mobilizing restrictions within the cranium and the sacrum. However, because of the anatomical and physiological connections, it is really a whole body approach.

CranioSacral Therapy strengthens the body’s natural healing processes to bolster resistance to disease and improve overall health. It has also proven effective in aiding individuals with a wide range of medical challenges associated with pain and dysfunction, including:

• Migraines

• Neck and Back Pain

• Fibromyalgia

• Chronic Fatigue

• TMJ Syndrome

• Motor-Coordination Impairments

• Autism

• Central Nervous System Disorders

• Colic

• Scoliosis

• Learning Disabilities

• Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries

• Emotional Difficulties

• Stress-Related Problems

• Neurovascular or Immune Disorders

• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

• Post-Surgical Dysfunction

• Bell’s Palsy

• And Many Other Conditions

Dr. Ron Wish, a Western Doctor who became Craniosacral therapist, talks about Craniosacral therapy. He accurately describes a craniosacral session and its effects on the headache of a patient:

There are two branches of Craniosacral therapy:

  1. Upledger’s CST
This is the original therapy, put together by John Upledger, the father of CST. When necessary, a very light pressure (of 4 grams) is applied during treatment.
If you want to correct a misaligned structure, you’ll need this therapy.

  2. Bioenergetic CST
More delicate than Upledger’s CST, the therapist doesn’t apply pressure at all. He just “thinks” about pressing.
This approach is too soft for our children and therefore not recommended.

If you research “Craniosacral Therapy” you’ll find many sites including Wikipedia call it a quackery. Don’t fall in the trap. Don’t believe them. There’s a big controversy around CST because Western Medicine doesn’t accept the fact that the cranial bones move. I have concluded that Western Medicine is not to be trusted for many reasons: It is manipulated by Big Pharma, so their research is dubious, their conclusions twisted, their motives not always clear and too often they hide information. They don’t want to cure you, just to sell you drugs, that’s why they don’t try to find the root cause of your disease, and very often will discourage you to look for the real solution, so Autism is incurable, and your illnesses are genetic… Don’t believe them. They are not on your side.
